【動新聞】關廠工人臥軌周年　放炮「抗爭開工」

近百名全國關廠工人連線的成員，今天齊聚台北車站，手持標語高呼口號，要求政府對關廠工人撤告，否則將發動更大規模抗爭。
 
1996年，這群工人遭資方惡意關廠，積欠資遣費和退休金，勞委會當時以貸款名義代償，並允諾勞工不用還，前年卻開始提告追款，引發工人連串抗爭，去年2月5日，甚至有近百名勞工在台北車站臥軌，之後勞委會提出補貼方案，讓關廠工人只須還款1到3成，但部分關廠工人認為，政府不應要求勞工還款，因此在今天臥軌抗爭滿1周年的日子，再度由竹南、桃園等地，搭火車到台北車站集結抗爭，並上演臥軌行動劇，批評政府無能，最後並在車站外廣場，與其他社運團體會師，焚香並放鞭炮，象徵「抗爭開工」。
 
勞委會主委潘世偉則強調，須走完法律程序，並尊重法官審理結果。（動新聞／綜合報導）
